I bought this food for my 4 month old German Shepherd puppy. We fed him Eukanuba before that, and I read all the great things about how Orijen doesn’t have any fillers just meat, fish and vegies. This food is the most expensive dog food on the market, and my pup did seem to enjoy its smell and taste. But after feeding him a 15 pound bag, and then a 30 pound bag, he still had the runs every time he pooped. It also gives him the WORST gas I have ever experienced in my life from any being. I don’t think he has a sensitive stomach either, we gave him all types for human food prior to this and he had no digestive issues.
If you are thinking of trying this food, buy a little bag and if at the end of the bag the dog has gas and liquid poo, stay away!

I have been feeding this to my German Shepherd Puppy for 7 months. He is absolutely vibrant and his coat is incredible. He has been growing slowly as is desired in a large breed dog but is in awesome condition. The food is high in nutrients and if overfed at first we had some loose stools, but that has completely resolved with continued feeding. German Shepherds tend to easy GI upset so it is important to go slowly with a food change. I also started buying the adult for my grown dogs. After some ten years raising dogs, this is the best kibble I have fed.

My German Shorthaired Pointer loves this food. She eats well, has high energy and a shiny soft coat. Glad I found Orijen. I shopped around for best price with lowest shipping cost and found it on Amazon for less than locally even with shipping.

This food is one of the best dry dog foods on the market. My Golden Retriever puppy has been on it for about 2 months now and is doing great – he looks amazing and is full of energy, his coat is shiny, his teeth excellent, and he doesn’t shed at all.
